Robert Oberst “I train four days a week – three in the gym and one strongman event day. My gym training is pretty straightforward. I work hard lift heavy, and push my cardio. The only real difference is that I take longer breaks between sets. Event days are long, torturous, terrible days that last up to six hours of heavy, intense brutal training. This is why I do that only once a week. The trick is to build up your body enough that the event training becomes easy. That’s what the ultimate goal is, so when I go to a show, it’s second nature.”
