Representing the Curvy Fit world, Tami is a personal trainer and a group fitness instructor. She is motivating individuals of all shapes, sizes, ages and athletic ability to get moving and to live a happier, healthier life style.
However, she wasn’t always this active and healthy. Weighing in at over 300 pounds only five years ago, she was battling depression, prediabetes, high cholesterol, and osteoarthritis. All of these made it hard for her to get out of bed each morning at the young age of 35. Not only was this affecting her physically, but mentally as well. The stress affected her career, her involvement in her daughter’s life, plus much more! It was time for a change!! Not just to lose weight, but to change her mindset, to be stronger, to have more energy for her and her family, and to reverse the diseases.
She started to exercise and eat clean and immediately felt better. Tami was spending hours on treadmills, bikes, and all kinds of machines. Boredom soon set in. She was losing interest quickly, but instead of giving up, she attended her first dance group aerobics class with a friend. In that moment, she instantly fell in love with group fitness! Tami found herself attending all of the group programs her gym had to offer, like kick boxing, step aerobics, yoga and more. The weight began to melt away! Her stamina and energy levels were at an all-time high. This was the year for Tami, this was the year she wasn’t giving up!
As the weight fell off, it did not go unnoticed! Her gym asked her to become a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. The class sizes low, especially group fitness class numbers. To help boost attendance, she began to do research on different programs. She was looking for a program that was going to give her a whole body workout and leave her sweating as she left the class. She just could not find one that spoke to her; she wanted more. So, she took everything she loved about group fitness and what she had learned through years of experience of attending classes, trainings, and research.
AND Drum-Late was born!
Tami is not your normal fitness instructor and Drum-Late is not your normal fitness program. Drum-Late is designed to keep you upbeat, motivated and moving all year long, not just a few months out of the year. It is a whole body cardio experience, as well as body toning! A 45 minute cardio workout mixing in fun aerobic drumming, power pilates, and interval training, all choreographed into a super fun and sweaty aerobic dance routine. Improve your mind while losing inches and weight.
