TheFitExpo™ San Jose Teams up with Tickets for Kids® Charities
Sunday, May 22, to provide the Ultimate Day of Fun and Fitness For Northern California Kids
(San Jose, CA…March 3, 2016) – Kids will be on the forefront at the Fifth Annual TheFitExpo™ San Jose when TheFitExpo and Tickets for Kids Charities team up to bring local at-risk youth a day filled with fun and fitness at the Northern California’s largest and best-known fitness event. TheFitExpo™ presented by Bodybuilding.com will be held May 21 -22 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, 150 West San Carlos Street, San Jose, Halls 1-3.
“We are very excited to launch this program with Tickets for Kids Charities in San Jose and we hope to replicate it in our remaining 2016 cities,” said Erin Ferries, Executive Director of TheFitExpo. “It is our goal to reach children at a young age and teach them about health and fitness as well as to inspire them to achieve their own fitness goals.”
Along with the 100 donated admission tickets, TheFitExpo has also created a special programing track for these kids ages 6-14 years old. Featured will be a workout session presented by Spartan Kids Race, a cooking class and an anti-bullying seminar presented by members of the legendary Gracie Family (Jiu-Jitsu tournament at the Expo), an exciting high-energy performance by Bay Area’s tricking/martial arts Loopkicks, and more.
The Sunday, May 22 tentative schedule is:
10:15-10:45 am: Workout by Spartan Race for Kids
11:00-11:30 am: Cooking by Stephanie Gracie
11:45 am-12:15 pm: Anti-bullying seminar with Rose Gracie
12:30 – 1:30 pm : Break
1:45 – 2:45 pm: Martial Arts / Tricking / Performance by Loopkicks
3:00 – 5:00 pm: Visit the exhibit floor
And for the big kid in all of us, TheFitExpo offers something for everyBODY! Attendees will find the top fitness and sports celebrities as well as 15 amateur, professional and attendee competitions and 300 exhibits offering the latest in fitness, diet, nutrition, strength and wellness products and services.
Adult admission tickets are $25 per day or $40 for the full weekend. Tickets for children 12 years and under are $10 per day and children under 6 are admitted free. Show hours are Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Plenty of parking is available.
